Kennels

Pros

• Great for dogs who love to spend 24/7 with other dogs
• Someone else's place takes the heat if your pup or kitty isn't so happy about you traveling

Cons

• Easy for pets to pick up illnesses, parasites and bad habits (a poodle who learned to howl like a hound dog -- not so funny when you are trying to get to sleep that first night home)
• Cramped quarters
• Pet stress due to being out of their usual environment and added separation anxiety issues
• Picking up and dropping off your pet w/in kennel hours. Who gets home from a trip by 6pm?
• Extra charge for medications, special food needs, extra play time, individual attention or even for having their own bed in the kennel
• Not always easy to check in and see how your dog or cat is doing
• Kennel policies don't always match up with your needs
